Mission
Statement:
- To provide a means
for Southbury women of all ages who share Democratic Party ideals to
gather in a social setting
- To determine how
these ideals will be promoted in the local political process
- To discuss current
local, state, and national political situations
- To launch candidates
for local office
- To support local,
state, and national candidates who reflect the majority of SDWC's opinions,
and
- To offer a college
scholarship to a Southbury high school graduate in need.
Meetings:
Quarterly meetings starting in September on the fourth Wednesday at 7
pm in member's homes. Meetings begin at 7 pm with a brief business meeting
followed by a light-hearted social during which local, national, and state
topics are
discussed as well as personal matters effecting women.
All are welcome to
attend our meetings and join our group.
