ABOUT KRIS

Kris was born in Mumbai, India. He came to US in 1946 to study Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy N Y. He graduated with BSEE in Engineering. Later on he attended Temple University in Philadelphia and Bridgeport University for graduate courses in Business Management and Accounting. Kris and his wife Anne have been married for over (56) years. They have (6) children and (10) grand children. They have been resident of Connecticut for 30+ years. They moved to Heritage Village in 1994 from Newtown.

During his professional career he was associate with several Fortune 500 Corporations as Business /Project Manager. In 1973 he started his own Business andAccounting firm. He retired from the firm in 1994 and has devoted his time to volunteer projects and assisting individuals and small business with their problems.

Kris' Volunteer and  Community Involvement:

Volunteered services to Lions Clubs International for 50+ years.

•  He attained the position of the Council Chairman of all the Connecticut Lions.

• He was Chairman of several fundraising activities.

• He was Treasurer of the Ct Lions Eye Research Foundation for (2) years.

• Lions recognized his efforts by awarding him Lions Prestigious awards and  the International President’s Certificates of Appreciation.

 He was Treasurer of Newtown Chamber of Commerce

He was Heritage Village Condo President and Trustee for several years.

He is Treasurer of the Southbury Democratic Town Committee.

He joined the Southbury Board of Finance as an alternate in 2007.

When Kris and his wife started thinking about the second phase of their life they both arrived at the same conclusion that Southbury and particularly Heritage village had a lot to offer.

An opportunity to serve a community with his experience and in return receive self  satisfaction.
